About Klosters
The Klosters Forum takes place in the scenic Swiss
mountain village of Klosters, which offers more than
a picturesque landscape. The setting serves as a
stark reminder of the paradox that even these most
seemingly untouched natural alpine environments
are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate
change. This small village, with its potential for sustainable transformation, is a fitting location for our
discussions on environmental stewardship. Moreover,
Klosters is strategically placed just two hours by train
from Zurich, making it accessible to our local and
global attendees.
How to travel to Klosters?
The nearest airport is Zurich.
By Train
It takes 2 hours by train. There are train connections from Zurich’s main station to Klosters every hour between 6AM and 11PM. For more info visit www.sbb.ch.
By Car
It takes 1.45 hours by car from Zurich. From Zurich Airport: take A51 to Zurich and look for the road signs to Chur, take exit “Landquart-Klosters” and follow road signs to Klosters.
Sustainable Travel
As an environmental forum, TKF is deeply committed to promoting sustainable and responsible travel. We encourage all TKF Participants to be mindful of how they travel to and from Klosters during TKF, and to prioritise lower-carbon options wherever possible—particularly choosing train travel over air travel and car sharing when feasible. By making thoughtful travel decisions, we can collectively reduce our environmental impact and lead by example. Participants are warmly invited to join the TKF WhatsApp group to coordinate journeys, arrange car sharing, and support one another in making more sustainable travel choices. To help support this mission, Participants will receive a 10% discount on relevant TKF ticket prices when they travel to Klosters by train as their main form of transport.
