Michelle Grant Founding Executive Director, World Food System Center, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), now Faculty and Education Director.

Michelle Grant was the founding Executive Director of the World Food System Center at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), where she continues her work as Faculty and Education Director. In parallel, Michelle runs The Great Full, a platform that supports individuals and organizations to contribute to a better world thorough intentional eating, living and leading. She just released her first book under the same name: The Great Full – Sustainable Eating with Purpose and Joy, where she helps readers explore food system challenges and how they can play a role in creating change through research, stories, tips and 78 vegetarian and plant based recipes.

 

Michelle studied environmental engineering at the University of Queensland and management, technology and economics at ETH Zurich. She is also a certified advanced yoga and meditation teacher and leadership coach.

 

Michelle just finished a term serving on the Swiss National Committee of the UN Food and Agricultural Organization, advising on national and international food systems policy issues. In 2017, she was awarded the University of Queensland Distinguished Young Alumni Award, and, in 2019, the Advance Australia Award (Food and Agriculture).
